Paladins Fight Off Late Lions Come Back As Fellowship Christian Picks Up 61-59 Over Lovett

With four minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Fellowship Christian Paladins were holding a 54-45 lead over the Lovett Lions and looked to be in control and on their way to a win, but the Lions would go on a 14-6 run to make it 60-59 game with :14 to go in the game. During their run, the Lions would force a couple of turnovers and knock down three 3-point baskets.

After forcing a jump ball off a missed free throw by the Paladins' Noah Dryden, the possession arrow would favor the Lions who would push the ball up court and get a wide open look from the corner but would miss the 3-point basket attempt. The Paladins would come up with the rebound and Lovett would be forced to foul Dryden once again.

At the line for two shots, Dryden would miss the first free throw but connect on the second to make it a 61-59 game with :02 remaining in the contest. Off the in bounds, the Lions' Crawford Schwieger would take one last heave but the ball would fall short allowing the Paladins to pick up the 61-59 victory. Watch highlights from the game now below!
