Utah's 4-Star Defensive End Cameron Latu Rolling Across Country To Alabama, Commits To Crimson T

On Friday, Cameron Latu, a four star recruit out of Utah, announced that he was committing to play football at the University of Alabama. Latu had previously committed to BYU along with his twin brother last summer but later decommitted, his brother Nathan still remains committed to the Cougars. At 6-foot-5 and 236 pounds, Latu is ranked the No. 8 weak side defensive end in the country and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Utah. Latu made his announcement via Twitter on Friday and told Scout.com, “It’s a winning program with a winning mentality, I want to be a part of that.” As a junior, Latu finished the season with 65 tackles, 20 of those for losses and added nine sacks. In his announcement, Latu thanked Utah’s head coach Morgan Scalley and his staff for “showing so much love to a hometown kid.”
