Hooper Brandon Johns Takes Michigan Over Michigan State

On Thursday, Michigan State Men’s Basketball took an off season loss to instate rival Michigan as the state’s top recruit, Brandon Johns, announced his commitment to the Wolverines. Johns, a 6-foot-8 four star recruit made his announcement via Twitter Thursday afternoon saying, “every college taught me something unique about them and I appreciate them all.” Johns went on to say, “this was definitely the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but without further ado, I’d like to announce that I’m my academic and basketball career at the University of Michigan.” Johns also thank his supporters. His decision to join the Wolverines comes above offers from Michigan State, Texas, Iowa, Pittsburgh, Creighton, and more top programs. Johns is considered the nation’s 40th ranked recruit according to ESPN and averaged 20.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.2 blocks and passed the 1,000 career points during his junior year.
