Collin Sexton Drops 32 As Pebblebrook Defeats Georgia's #2 Norcross 77-69


Pebblebrook's #1 Collin Sexton goes up for 2 of his 32 points

In the night cap of the Wheeler High School Tournament of Champions Holiday Classic, The Pebblebrook Falcons, led by Collin Sexton, the Nation's #2 shooting guard and Alabama commit, would face Georgia's #2 ranked Norcross Blue Devils. Both Pebblebrook and Norcross would come out exchanging baskets throughout the entire opening quarter but it would be Pebblebrook’s #1 Collin Sexton who would drain a three point basket as the quarter came to an end to give the Falcons a 19-15. In the second quarter the teams would continue to go back and fourth exchanging buckets but after the Falcons scored six unanswered points to go up 34-25, the Blue Devils would be forced to use a timeout with 2:57 remaining in the first half. Out of the time Sexton (32 pts) began to find his groove along with teammate #0 Dwight Murray (19 pts) to help the Falcons extend their lead to as much as 10 as Pebblebrook would go into the half up 40-30.

The Falcons would open up the third quarter with a 7-2 run before Norcross’ #1 Lance Thomas would get sent to the line making it a 47-33 game in favor of Pebblebrook. The Falcons would eventually lead by as many as 15 but the Blue Devils would cut the lead back down to 8 as Pebblebrook led 51-43 with 1:42 left in the third. The two teams would get up and down the court making buckets on both ends but Pebblebrook would lead 58-47 at the end of the third. Pebblebrook would continue to lead throughout the fourth but Norcross would go on a 11-5 run to cut the lead to a 63-58 game in favor of the Falcons with 4:03 left in the game. Pebblebrook would maintain a five point lead until Sexton would score 4 unanswered points to give the Falcons a 69-60 lead with 1:32 remaining. Norcross would then go on a 6-3 run make it a 72-66 game but a late foul by Norcross with :28 seconds would help Pebblebrook go on to win by a final 77-69.
