Westminster host annual 'Westminster Duals'

Westminster's Clayton Clemmons picks up a win by fall at the 'Westminster Duals'

As the 2025 Georgia High School Association wrestling season continues, the Westminster Wildcats hosted their annual 'Westminster Duals as several teams from throughout Georgia made their way to the Atlanta campus to participate in the annual event.

"It's awesome and thankfully we always have some pretty good teams showing up so it's always competitive," Westminster head coach LB Joel, said of the Wildcats' event. "It's high flying, kids are having fun and it's just a great time, so we love hosting this every year," Joel said as he shared thoughts on the competitiveness of the event.

As for the Wildcats themselves, with plenty of matches to go for the regular season, Joel looks for them to eventually be at full strength as they work towards having a strong season. "First we have to get healthy, and that will come with time, but we have our full lineup there and ready to wrestle, we're hard to beat," Joel said of the Wildcats, who have been without a couple of wrestlers.

Westminster returns to the mat on Wednesday when they travel to St. Pius X for a tri-match with the host and Salem High School.
