On Monday, the Georgia High School Association swimming and diving state championships kicked off with the girls Class 6A diving championship, which the Colquitt County Packers dominated led by senior Elizabeth Hobby, who would win the 6A title with 673.55 points, followed by her teammate, Gracie Griner-Hart with 640.30 points and Maggie Strange placing fourth for the Packers with 618.75 points and Kendall DeLoach rounding out the top five in fifth place with 592.65 points.

"It definitely means a lot, obviously with this being my last year," Hobby said after winning the 6A diving championship. "High school season's never my favorite, but this being my last meet with all my best friends and everything before I leave for Liberty, it's definitely bitter sweat so I'm very excited," Hobby said following her victory on Monday, which she was well on her way to following the prelims as she entered the final round with a 22.20 point lead over North Gwinnett's Susie Kang, who finished in third place with 621.30 points.

"I felt pretty good. Usually I'm a bit shaky and nervous, especially with my hurdles, but I didn't feel any of that this time. I think the Lord definitely helped me through this and I just felt really confident going in," Hobby said of entering the finals with a favorable lead.
