Douglas County Advances To GHSA 6A Sweet 16 With 66-57 Win Over Pope

On Friday, the Georgia High School Association basketball state playoffs continued and in boys class 6A action, the Douglas County Tigers hosted the Pope Greyhounds. The game would remain close throughout most of the first three quarters, but the Tigers would hold a slight edge over Pope at the end of the first three periods of play.

That lead would grow in the fourth quarter for the Tigers as they would extend it to 10 when they took a 52-42 lead and eventually go on to pick up the 66-57 win to advance to the sweet 16 round of the GHSA 6A playoffs. Watch highlights from the game below now!
