Rams Hold Off Generals As Grayson Defeats Shiloh 68-67 To Maintain Region Lead

On Friday, the Shiloh Generals boys basketball team hosted region rival, the Grayson Rams, in their second meeting of the season. The Rams, who defeated Shiloh 72-60 the first time the two teams met this season, came into the match up ranked No. 1 in the state, while the Generals came in at No. 2. The two teams held the same order in the region standings however, Friday's winner would have sole control of first place in the standings.

The Rams would open up on an 8-3 run but Shiloh would respond with a 6-0 run to take a 9-8 lead but the Rams would lead 18-16 at the end of the first quarter. As the game continued, multiple lead changes would occur throughout the night but the Generals would pick up momentum late in the third quarter that would continue into the fourth quarter as they took a 62-52 lead. Following a Grayson timeout, the Rams would rspond by going on a 13-2 run to take a 65-62 lead and from that point would hold onto the lead for the 68-67 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
