Indians Coast To Second Round of GHSA Class 2A Playoffs As Chattooga Sweeps Douglass 3-0


In the Georgia High School Association girls volleyball state playoffs, round one of Class 2A got underway as the Douglass Astros hosted the Chattooga Indians.

In set one, the contest would remain close for a small time before the Indians would take control jumping out to an 11-3 lead and going on to win set one by a final score of 25-9.

In set two, the Astros looked good early on as they took a 3-1 lead, but Chattooga would tie the set at 3-3 and eventually take a 7-5 lead. The Indians would never relinquish the lead and go on to win set two by a final score 25-10.

The Indians would complete the sweep of the match by winning set three 25-12 to advance to the second round of the GHSA Class 2A state playoffs where they will face St Vincent's. Watch highlights below!
