Atlanta International Sweeps The Weber School 2-0 For First Win Of The Season

On Monday, the Atlanta International Lady Eagles hosted the Weber School Lady Rams in volleyball action as both teams looked to pick up their first win of the season. In set one of the match the Lady Eagles would look good early as they would get out to a 7-3 lead in the set.

But the Lady Rams would fight their way back into the set and eventually take a 14-12 lead. The Weber School would then go up by as many three points in the set as they held a 19-16 lead but would allow the Lady Eagles to out score them 6-2 over the next few volleys and Atlanta International would regain the lead and find themselves up 22-21, eventually winning the set 25-23.

In set two, the Lady Rams would be the ones getting out to an early lead as they would take a 6-2 lead. However, Atlanta International would not let things get away from them and would tie the set at 6-6 and eventually take their first lead of the set when they went up 10-9.

The Lady Eagles would never look back from that point and would go on to win the set 25-17, completing the sweep to get the 2-0 win over The Weber School. The teams will face off again on September 5th. Watch highlights of the match below!
