Once play resumed, the Lady Wildcats would control the ball throughout most of the first half with several attempts blocked by Pace goal keeper McKenzie Baker. As the half continued, a penalty on the Lady Knights would lead to a free kick for the Lady Wildcats in which #25 Sydney Simmons would make good but officials would waive the goal off due to what should have been an indirect kick actually being a direct kick and the first half would end scoreless.

In the second half, the Lady Wildcats quickly got things together and would score two minutes and twelve seconds into the half when #4 Maggie Graham would catch the ball off a Pace player kick connecting on the goal to give Westminster a 1-0 lead with 37:48 to go in the second half.
