High School Sports Activity In California Resuming In July
On Friday, the California Interscholastic Federation announced that will allow high school sports activities to resume in July releasing guidelines that school districts will need to adhere to. Beginning July 30, football practices can resume and on August 1, cross country, volleyball, girls tennis, girls golf, water polo and field hockey practices can begin. Although the play is for the entire state to start on time, the CIF section commissioners will hold another meeting on July 20 to review the state's COVID-19 status and decide if they will move forward with the restart. For some sports, there will be phases to their restart, however most school districts will have the ability to set their own policies and practices based off the CIF guidelines.
