Thursday night, the University of Georgia Bulldogs football program got a commitment from five star linebacker, Mekhail Sherman from St. John's College High School out of Washington D.C. Sherman told 247Sports his choice to commit to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs was "because I felt like it was the right fir for me," adding that if he wants to be as successful as he wants to be, Athens is the place for him. At 6-foot-3, 235 pounds, Sherman is ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the nation at any position in the class of 2020 according to 247Sports. Sherman's commitment to Georgia comes over 31 other scholarship offers including Ohio State.
